Cybersecurity Maturity Model (CMM)
CMMالتعريف
A structured assessment methodology within the NCA ECC framework that evaluates an organization's cybersecurity posture across five progressive maturity levels: Initial, Developing, Defined, Managed, and Optimized. The CMM enables organizations to measure their current cybersecurity capabilities, identify gaps against ECC requirements, and establish a roadmap for continuous improvement. Organizations must achieve and maintain appropriate maturity levels based on their sector classification and risk profile, with critical infrastructure entities typically required to reach Managed or Optimized levels.

A Saudi energy company conducts an annual CMM assessment against ECC Domain 1 (Cybersecurity Governance) and discovers it operates at the Defined level (Level 3). To meet regulatory expectations, the organization develops a 24-month improvement plan to advance to the Managed level (Level 4) by implementing automated policy enforcement, continuous monitoring dashboards, and quantitative risk metrics aligned with Vision 2030 digital infrastructure goals.
