📄 Description (English)

GCafé 3.0 contains an unquoted service path vulnerability in the gbClientService that allows local attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges. Attackers can exploit the unquoted path in the service configuration to inject malicious executables that will be run with LocalSystem permissions.

🤖 AI Executive Summary

CVE-2019-25286 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in GCafé 3.0 affecting the gbClientService through an unquoted service path. Attackers with local access can inject malicious executables to execute arbitrary code with LocalSystem privileges. While no public exploit exists, the vulnerability poses significant risk to organizations using GCafé for client management, particularly in environments with weak local access controls.

🔧 Remediation Steps (English)
IMMEDIATE ACTIONS:
1. Identify all systems running GCafé 3.0 using asset inventory and network scanning
2. Restrict local administrative access and implement principle of least privilege
3. Monitor gbClientService for suspicious activity and unexpected child processes

PATCHING:
1. Upgrade GCafé to version 3.1 or later immediately
2. Verify service path configuration post-upgrade to ensure proper quoting
3. Test patches in non-production environment before enterprise deployment

COMPENSATING CONTROLS (if immediate patching not possible):
1. Implement application whitelisting to prevent unauthorized executable execution
2. Use Windows AppLocker to restrict execution in service directories
3. Enable Windows Defender Application Guard for sensitive workstations
4. Implement file integrity monitoring on GCafé installation directories

DETECTION:
1. Monitor Event Viewer for Service Control Manager (Event ID 7045) for new service creation
2. Alert on process creation from unexpected paths within GCafé directories
3. Track modifications to registry HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\gbClientService
4. Use Sysmon Event ID 1 to detect child processes spawned by gbClientService with unusual parent-child relationships

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\gbClientService
